Lots of 1 and 2 drops to keep aggro pressure (always drop gutterbones before knight of the ebon legion if you draw both in opening hand) and become later threats forcing the opponent to waste spot removals on them so that your bigger threats are less likely to be removed; pressure on foe is intense especially if you can land an early spectacle Spawn of Mayhem (you can almost always force a deathtouch knight through to get spectacle damage). Your own spot removals are Disfigure and Murder. Save Massacre Girl for strategic board wipe -- gutterbones and yarok's fenlurker can help snowball the -1/-1's. You wanna drop things as fast as possible and then start replenishing your hand with card drawing spells. Rankles are good for tactical removal (your weaker smaller useless creatures now become removal fodder) and card drawing as well. Don't be afraid to sac your gutterbones as you can get them back later. use Drill Bit for eliminating critical threats you can't easily deal with later on (artifacts, enchantments, combo pieces, board wipes, etc). Getting early intel is always useful.
Key to winning is being aggressive (but not suicidal). Don't be afraid for early creatures to die to draw out enemy removals, as you will have means to ping your own life to replenish cards.
