Well itrs been a bit of a slog since Innistrad came out but this has taken me to Mythic again with a 65% win rate through Diamond ... Its RED, its GOBLINS, its fun!!
So for thos ethat follow the Meta - its all pretty even. Ther dont seem to be any real stand outs - except mono white aggro and I just dont like that. So I have played werewolves, vampires, skeletons, et-al ... and nothing was getting me ahead in Diamond.
This deck however has smashed it - althouh the last tier was a slog. At the bottom is alink to the progress the deck has made.
Anyway - your normal same old goblins in here with Battle Cry Goblin
being the best of the bunch as it gives Haste and more goblins on Pack Tactics but Hobgoblin Captain
with First Strike on Pack Tactics also rocks.
The deck aims to replace the pump and trample of Embercleave with some other dynamics using instants. Stolen Vitality
and Enthusiastic Study
both give trample and extra damage while Lunar Feenzy pumps for as much mana as you have.
The Smoldering Egg // Ashmouth Dragon
gets killed 9 / 10 times but that means they are not killing other creatures.
I messed around a lot with Goldspan Dragon
and Blade Historian
in terms of numbers and depending on what you are playing will depend on whats best - but 2 of each seems best.
