Cut one Invoke Despair for one more Tribute to Horobi // Echo of Death's Wail. While it does backfire sometimes, you can get pretty big tempo swings with it: turn four harobi flips, swing for 3 and draw a card. If you start/follow that with either Gelatinous Cube or Tatsunari, Toad Rider and Okiba Reckoner Raid // Nezumi Road Captain its just hard to deal with.
Tatsunari and Life of Toshiro Umezawa // Memory of Toshiro are like PB&J: they just belong together. He can hit the board turn four, bring out the toad, and give him +2/+2 and his ability can be activated to jump blockers. You can constantly send the toad in alone to poke and refresh him with enchantments if he's killed.
I like Nashi, Moon Sage's Scion and Biting Palm Ninja as SB cards vs control. Ninjutsu works effectively in small doses, and you'll get a creature through for damage turns 4/5 unless the opponent just has a nut hand. I'm probably going to cut the discard cards for either Spell Pierce or Negate. I want to deal damage, not play bad control vs. a deck tuned to counteract those strategies. Spell pierce can help preserve an early board state and setup the ninjas.
I really like the feel of this deck. I'm a control player for the most part: I like being flexible. This deck provides that, and it's so bizarre that players don't know how to deal with it. Half the cards in this deck haven't been seen by diamond rank players: first few turns you'll see them mousing over the cards to read.
If you want a fun, aggressive and flexible deck vs the meta give it a test drive. Remember folks, Esika's Chariot might own the forest trails, but we own the highway!
*Edit* Just hit mythic with it! Was diamond 3 when I published the first list. All bow to the rats and the toad!
