Description

I used this deck to grind in MTGA Bo1 from Platinum 4 to Mythic within the last 2 days of season 2 (RNA).
My performance with the deck this season is tracked here: https://mtgarena.pro/decks/oketra-reanimator/

If you feel like going full Oketra, look no further! This deck is built around getting the most out of God-Eternal Oketraimage with the help of Priest of Forgotten Godsimage ramping, removal, card draw and reanimate mechanics from Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlordimage & Bond of Revivalimage.

It's got a lot of cheap creatures that serve as fodder for Priest of Forgotten Godsimage & God-Eternal Oketraimage trigger. Thanks to cards like Tithe Takerimage & Midnight Reaperimage the opponents will have a hard time clearing your board efficiently.

Please leave a comment if you gave the deck a try!

Why no Cruel Celebrant over Seeker's Squire? I find her very explosive if you start the Priest Engine

3) Too many Sorin/Oketra happens of course but it's not that bad if you have the mana to play it. Oketra can be played if you have one on board just to spawn a 4/4. For Sorin you can just make use of his -X ability and play another one.

4) I cut him because I've found there's enough 1 mana creatures already. But running one copy could be worth it.

5) Zhalfirin Void is good for more consistent draws but I could see Blast Zones working too. Mobilized District doesn't work as Oketra trigger.

1) I found myself mana flooded too often when I used more lands. If you have Priest or Oketra on the board you don't want to draw lands. Zhalfirin Void, Seeker's Squire, Priest of Forgotten Gods make up for the low land count and make draws more consistent.

2) Control is a tough match-up mainly because of Cry of the Carnarium. If you can dodge that you can you have good chances. This deck is also not as vulnerable to Thought Erasure as other mid-range decks because of your reanimate abilities.

Hi, deck looks cool but I've some questions :
Isn't there too few lands for 8 5CCM cards ?
How is your Control/Nexus match-up ?
Have you ever been stuck with too many Sorin/Oketra in hand ?
Why is there no Gutterbones in the deck ? too slow ?
Why choose Zhalfirin void over blast zones/mobilized district ?

Maybe you were unlucky ;)

It's tier 3, not really that great honestly. Victories for me was far and few between, especially when paired with control, it becomes almost impossible to get your win con in place.
