4 Hurkyl, Master Wizard (BRO) 51
One key to this deck. If you've cast a non-creature, it peeks at your top five cards, then draws one of each type of non-creature you've cast this turn. With Encroaching Mycosynth, every enchantment you play lets you draw two that turn, either two enchantments, or one enchantment and an artifact or creature. Plus since most of the enchantments are Neon Dynasty sagas, they become creatures, getting around the creature limit.
3 Encroaching Mycosynth (ONE) 47
The other key. Enables everything else in the deck. All permanents except lands become Artifacts. Four might be good, but they're redundant after you have one out, and Forging the Anchor lets you find it fairly quickly.
4 Enthusiastic Mechanaut (NEO) 218
All permanents cost 1 less with Mycosynth. Not bad for 2 mana. Definitely worth splashing red for this. Plus it lets you cast Mycosynth for only 3.
4 Forging the Anchor (BRO) 50
An insanely powerful card in the right deck. With Mycosynth, this grabs every permanent on your top 5 for only 3 mana, except lands. And there's only 4 non-permanents in the deck (these cards).
2 Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant (NEO) 59
The cherry on top. Every permanent becomes doubled with Mycosynthesis. Also the usual free counterspell. And 7 mana cost isn't so bad with Mycosynth and Mechanaut.
2 The Reality Chip (NEO) 74
Probably the most swappable card in the deck. It's a blocker, but you draw a lot of cards already with Hurkyl and Forging the Anchor.
4 Witness Protection (SNC) 66
Great removal spell that activates Hurkyl. Getting double removal with Jin is great. One mana. The major downside is counters and buffs stay on the card you hit, but you can remove that with Inventive Iteration.
4 Fable of the Mirror-Breaker (NEO) 141
You know what this card does. Cloning fliers is a frequent win-con.
4 The Modern Age (NEO) 66
Card draw and Hurkyl activation.
3 Inventive Iteration (NEO) 57
The return is nice to get rid of tokens, and once it transforms, you can return then lock them out from playing it the next turn with appropriate mana value. Phase 2 brings any permanent back from your graveyard with Mycosynth.
3 Behold the Unspeakable (NEO) 48
Protection and draw, then one of the strongest creatures once it transforms, with enough cards in your hand. If it gets copied with Jin that's -4/0 until your next turn to all enemies, and draw 4 on your next turn.
A great curve with this deck:
Turn one Witness Protection but you'll probably save it for something more than 1 mana, since it's your only removal.
Then Mechanaut.
Then Hurkyl.
Then Mycosynth and a Modern Age or Witness Protection.
If you can get another Mechanaut or Fable, then you can cast Jin + double Witness protection on turn 6, and really go to town.
