Control Combo

This deck is a rehash of throwback Turbo Fog Mill decks, but at a competitive level requiring some advanced strategy playing skills (similar to numerous Turbo Fog Mills placed in top ranks in former SCG Championship games). It's extremely fun when you establish control, and the payoff is very satisfying for control freaks. The premise is to not have many creatures, which nullifies the opponent's removal spells (giving you indirect card advantage), and you use fogs to buy time (almost like extra turns) while you setup your control and eventually mill the opponent to death. Your key to victory is primarily comprised of:

General Strategy
Early to mid range survival is key to winning. You need to buy enough time for your setup. Don't blow your Root Snareimage and Pause for Reflectionimage early, take small early damage, and wait until you have strategic critical mass to use your fogs. Gift of Paradiseimage will not only give you mana fix and increase, but also buy you some time with a bit more life. Once you can get Wilderness Reclamationimage on the board, lock down the board with Teferi, Time Ravelerimage to prevent surprise enemy instants and counterspells, and enable the ability to cast Fae of Wishesimage and other sorceries at instant speed. Make sure you have an extra fog or two to protect your planeswalkers, or otherwise a Time Wipeimage. Once and Futureimage can help sustain your lifespan by extending your fogs and board sweeps from your graveyard (or things you destroyed with Planar Cleansingimage). Fae of Wishesimage is there to get you specific tools you need in a crunch from your sideboard -- it's almost like a 15-option multi-tool. Your sideboard IS part of your main deck here -- use it. Bounce Fae of Wishesimage back with extra cards you draw but don't need, or use the Time Wipeimage to do it. Your win condition is Jace, Wielder of Mysteriesimage and Folio of Fanciesimage, and occasionally Finale of Gloryimage. Remember you are milling your opponent, not yourself, but if you have Jace out you can let your library run out for victory as well.

Yes, control decks are the biggest weakness. It holds up the questing beast and cat oven just fine. For cats, trick is to keep fogging until you can Ashiok away the graveyard.

It's a very specific deck, it has a good chance against most creature decks, but will fall flat against other control decks, questing beast and cat oven decks.
