Just hit Diamond.  From the start of platinum this deck took 3 losses to reach diamond.  2 of those came to thassa combo decks.  I've really looked for room for mystic repeal, but because mono white is a thing, you need those tibalts.  You can and will still beat these decks, just not consistently.  Every deck is going to have some sort of weakness.  Otherwise this dominated the meta full of oro decks, azorius teferi dream trawler garbage, and mono red.  Faced a couple other Gruul decks which was exciting to see and provided very fun competitive matches.  That's when magic feels good to me.  When two people both go for it, striving to take each other out as quickly as possible.  If you don't agree, then why are you looking at a Gruul decktech?  ;)  Peace

Hello again.

Here we find my final deck for the season.  I've finally got a new computer, and am able to play quickly without constant crashes.  No excuses on why I can't climb the ladder.  So this is it.  An aggro list that borders on being midrange. Let's look into why I've used what I have.

Anax: great embercleave target and creates 1/1 tokens for lost cards.  combos well with gallia who can pump them up.

bonecrusher: big body and a zap.

Destiny Spinner: We don't like counterspells.

Gallia:  hold her back and drop her after a board wipe or at least after anax has generated several 1/1s.  Bonus, can provide a little card advantage if you can afford to gamble.

klothys:  This entire deck is built mana wise to activate klothys, an activation usually means you've won.  Regardless the 4 point life swing and removing threats like uro is great.

Questing Beast: Wall of text

tectonic giant: guaranteed damage or card draw.  Possibly multiple times.

Zhur-taa:  quick beats for the pile or a road block against faster aggro

embercleave: lots of great things to put this on.

escape to the wilds: late game fuel.  We can and will gas out.  These are meant to give us a jolt.  Don't sleep on em, they turn games around.

The side is pretty self explanatory but if you have any questions don't hesitate.  I believe this is the best list I've produced and if you are a Gruul fan I really hope you import this and give it a shot.  Good luck out there!
