Galewind Moose
Average Picked At: 3.25
Total Times Picked: 12
Average Last Seen At: 2.89
Total Times Seen 23
Pro Rating: 3.5
Pro Comment: Flashing this in to kill an attacker and then untapping is a pretty great feeling, and this is an imposing presence on just about any board.
Blacksmith's Talent
Average Picked At: 6.60
Total Times Picked: 5
Average Last Seen At: 4.06
Total Times Seen 49
Pro Rating: 2.5
Pro Comment: This is a nice way to trigger Valiant, and isn't a terrible card to have around even in aggro decks that are less interested in the mechanic.
Splash Portal
Average Picked At: 12.00
Total Times Picked: 3
Average Last Seen At: 5.36
Total Times Seen 39
Pro Rating: 2
Pro Comment: This is definitely at it's best in Blue-Green or Blue-Red. Blue-Green because you're more likely to have ETBs and Blue-Red because it's a spell that replaces itself. But, it's passable in the other Blue decks too.
Tempest Angler
Average Picked At: 11.47
Total Times Picked: 15
Average Last Seen At: 8.34
Total Times Seen 162
Pro Rating: 2
Pro Comment: This has a bad baseline, and you really need two counters before it ever feels like it was worthwhile, and in the time it takes you to get there, you're in trouble.
Longstalk Brawl
Average Picked At: 4.62
Total Times Picked: 26
Average Last Seen At: 4.48
Total Times Seen 105
Pro Rating: 2.5
Pro Comment: Prey Upon isn't always good enough, so it's nice that you can give your opponent a Fish in situations where you need a little something extra.
Bushy Bodyguard
Average Picked At: 3.14
Total Times Picked: 7
Average Last Seen At: 3.61
Total Times Seen 48
Pro Rating: 3
Pro Comment: You want to Offspring this and Forage at least once, and that's pretty doable. If you do it once, you spend 4 for a 2/1 and a 3/3, and sometimes you can do it twice, which is even more efficient.
Jolly Gerbils
Average Picked At: 4.40
Total Times Picked: 5
Average Last Seen At: 5.10
Total Times Seen 48
Pro Rating: 3
Pro Comment: Many of the gift cards in the set are solid cards when you don't gift, and you have to think about whether or not giving your opponent something is worth the extra effect you're going to get. Jolly Gerbils makes that equation a lot simpler -- you should just always gift, because you're going to come out ahead and get a more powerful version of the card.
Rabbit Response
Average Picked At: 10.05
Total Times Picked: 21
Average Last Seen At: 7.82
Total Times Seen 163
Pro Rating: 1 // 2.5
Pro Comment: If you're good at going wide, this'll be a solid inclusion in your deck. If you're not, it's pretty bad.
Intrepid Rabbit
Average Picked At: 4.25
Total Times Picked: 20
Average Last Seen At: 4.40
Total Times Seen 74
Pro Rating: 3.5
Pro Comment: 4 mana for a 3/2 and a 1/1 is a card you'll play pretty often, and this has the upside of being more flexible than that and having an ETB ability. One you'll get twice when you Offspring.
Plumecreed Escort
Average Picked At: 6.80
Total Times Picked: 10
Average Last Seen At: 4.76
Total Times Seen 52
Pro Rating: 4
Pro Comment: A two mana 2/1 with Flash and Flying is a playable card, and this can often generate a 2-for-1 by blanking a removal spell.
Bark-Knuckle Boxer
Average Picked At: 5.58
Total Times Picked: 12
Average Last Seen At: 5.10
Total Times Seen 45
Pro Rating: 3
Pro Comment: These are good aggro stats, and an indestructible 3/2 is a relevant body all game long.
Hop to It
Average Picked At: 4.09
Total Times Picked: 11
Average Last Seen At: 3.12
Total Times Seen 29
Pro Rating: 3.5
Pro Comment: Three bodies for three mana is a nice deal, especially in a format where White wants to go wide and can get extra value out of tokens.
Thornvault Forager
Average Picked At: 3.11
Total Times Picked: 9
Average Last Seen At: 3.00
Total Times Seen 13
Pro Rating: 4
Pro Comment: A two mana 2/2 that can tap for Green is always great, and this can do way more than that between it's ability to generate more mana and tutor up squirrels.
Thundertrap Trainer
Average Picked At: 4.75
Total Times Picked: 4
Average Last Seen At: 3.08
Total Times Seen 16
Pro Rating: 3.5
Pro Comment: This will often give you a 2-for-1 in the early game, and later in the game you're likely to draw two cards when you Offspring.
Clement, the Worrywort
Average Picked At: 4.67
Total Times Picked: 3
Average Last Seen At: 3.00
Total Times Seen 16
Pro Rating: 3.5
Pro Comment: Making your frogs tap for many means that you'll be able to recast the creatures you bounce with Clement's ability more often, and if you're getting some sweet ETB value, that's pretty strong.
Carrot Cake
Average Picked At: 4.57
Total Times Picked: 23
Average Last Seen At: 4.65
Total Times Seen 104
Pro Rating: 2
Pro Comment: So, if you take all the parts together here – you pay 4 mana for 3 life and two 1/1s that scry 1. That’s not horrendous to begin with, and you can pay it for it in installments.
Camellia, the Seedmiser
Average Picked At: 1.00
Total Times Picked: 5
Average Last Seen At: 2.07
Total Times Seen 15
Pro Rating: 4
Pro Comment: Buffing and making Squirrels with this is pretty darn easy in Black-Green, and it's got a great baseline too.
Builder's Talent
Average Picked At: 6.38
Total Times Picked: 8
Average Last Seen At: 5.00
Total Times Seen 46
Pro Rating: 0.5 // 2.5
Pro Comment: It's tough to get enough noncreature nonlands to get this going, but if you can it's a pretty solid buildaround.
Darkstar Augur
Average Picked At: 2.00
Total Times Picked: 8
Average Last Seen At: 1.83
Total Times Seen 12
Pro Rating: 5
Pro Comment: You almost always want to go with the Offspring here. 4 mana for a 2/3 flyer and a 1/1 flyer that draw you a bunch of cards is great! You do need to make sure you don't have a high curve and/or some ways to gain life, but the fact you get these two bodies that draw you cards means even one removal spell isn't going to prevent you from outcarding your opponent.
Essence Channeler
Average Picked At: 1.67
Total Times Picked: 6
Average Last Seen At: 1.70
Total Times Seen 12
Pro Rating: 3
Pro Comment: This has a decent baseline, so it can work alright in any White deck -- since most will have a little life gain, but it'll be really powerful in Black-White.
