Storyline
Welcome to the desert plane of Thunder Junction, where Omenpaths cross together. In the arid wastes, courier Archie Dixon meets his demise at the hands of the dragon Akul's Hellspur gang during an ambush over a mysterious key. The remote settlement of Saddlebrush provides refuge for former outlaw Annie Flash, until a certain fae trickster arrives seeking her skills against Akul. Meanwhile, in the dusty town of Omenport, a massive relay tower to control communications across the Omenpaths is under construction, attracting workers with their own secrets...
Mechanics
Crimes
To commit a crime, you cast a spell, activate an ability, or put a triggered ability on the stack targeting "an opponent, a spell or ability an opponent controls, a permanent an opponent controls, or a card in an opponent's graveyard." Anything outside these conditions is NOT considered a crime. That being said, so long as effect is put on the stack, the crime has already been committed, regardless of whether it resolves properly or not.
Plot
Similar to Foretell and Suspend, you can pay the Plot cost of a card to exile it and cast it later for free as a sorcery. The new twist? The card is plainly visible by your opponent to plan against.
Mounts and Saddle
Functions similarly as the Crew ability, in that you tap the total number of creatures with power required for the Saddle value. The Mount-type creatures that have this ability, though, are still creatures, so the incentive is mostly to access other effects via this ability.
Spree
You can pay additional cumulative costs to gain additional effects. The modality differs from something like Escalate, since each additional cost for Spree (to gain additional effects) can be completely different. Keep in mind that each mode can only be chosen once as it is cast. Also, even if the spell is cast for free, the additional costs of the added effect still apply.
Bounties (Commander Exclusive)
You can add a bounty deck to a Commander game. There is a shared bounty deck made up of at least 6 of the 12 total bounty cards, with no more than 1 copy of each card. Bounties start on the 3rd turn of the starting player, giving players a head start. Each bounty card has a condition that a player must meet on their turn to capture and claim the reward. Oh and, only the current player can claim a bounty reward, and only one per turn.
As for the rewards themselves, there are four reward levels that increase each turn a bounty goes unclaimed. When a bounty is claimed, set that card aside as a trophy, and then you can start a new bounty on the next following turns. Once the deck is empty, reshuffle all bounty cards to reform the deck.
