Top Standard Decks - May 2023

We are already in the middle point between March of the Machines and its Aftermath. As such, the meta is expected to have stabilized already to the new cards available to the latest set. But unlike Phyrexia: All Will be One, though, the impact of March of the Machine is a tad bit better, and its adoption rate is faster, as reflected by the best-of-one popular picks and best-of-three top listers in current MTGA.

Standard Tournament Meta - Top 8 Decks

Esper Raffine soars high as Standard's top deck of the tournament meta. But unlike the dominance of other top 1 meta decks over the last three months, Rakdos Control and Mono White Control stand very close at 12.99% and 10.24%, respectively. The consistency stalemate only begins to drop drastically with Grixis Control and Selesnya Aggro, both at 6.30%. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Red Deck Wins continues its fall off, going down as far as 7th place even with newer toys like Nahiri's Warcraftingimage and Bloodfeather Phoeniximage.

Azorious Soldiers double-kicks its way to the list, but only manages to secure the final 8th spot at 2.59%, along with a slightly dropped Mono Blue Tempo at 2.83%.

Standard MTGA: Best of One - Popular Decks

The most trending archetype of the last 30 days is Dimir Control. Although Azorius Midrange Control is currently the number one trending this week, it only lands in second place if statistics for the last three weeks are included. Red Aggro stabilizes its 30-day popularity rating at 6th place, although it has maintained its second place spot in the last seven days.

If we restricted the data to just the current week only (when this article was posted), the entire list would have been dominated by Green, particularly Gruul Aggro and Selesnya Aggro builds, followed by various Jeskai builds.
