When spoiler season rolls around, you'll see a handful of the game's top streamers and YouTubers spoil new cards, mechanics, or similar things. However, Wizards is stepping up their game by supporting streamers and their content via the MTG Ambassador Program. The new program and how it works is the topic of today's article.

The MTG Ambassador Program will help content creators make informative content about upcoming sets. This is done by giving the ambassadors for each year access to spoilers and other info earlier than usual so they have time to create helpful, quality content about it.

The MTG Ambassador Program will offer chosen content creators direct correspondence with Wizards of the Coast. More specifically, they receive set info and a certain number of cards earlier than usual. This will mean significant boosts for the ambassadors since they'll get exclusive info before anyone else. How Are MTG Ambassadors Chosen?

The Ambassador Program runs throughout the year. This means the selected Ambassadors for this year will hold the title for all of 2023 and will receive content info consistently throughout the year. So, new ambassadors will be picked each year. There are no exact requirements, but Wizards had this to say about how they picked the first batch of content creators:

How To Become An MTG Ambassador?

The MTG Ambassador Program is a very new thing and, as of now, is by invitation only. However, they said that they hope to have an application page set up before the time comes to select 2024 Ambassadors. This will allow content creators to apply for the program and help to expand it moving forward. Oh, and I should mention that the program is only available to North American content creators, at least for now. However, WOTC says this won't be the case forever.
