Learn more Download For WindowsCamelot AKA Mardu Knights is the best deck in Historic Best of One! I took this deck for 15 straight wins in Diamond tonight! The deck is built around the concept of playing lots of knights fast and making them huge. You have removal spells in Mortify and Murderous Rider.
The worthy knight makes plenty of 1/1 tokens for chump blocking or swinging through to the opponents face. The deck is fast pace aggro and has enough first strike creatures to stand up to elves or any other fast aggro deck in the format. We're running Icon of Ancestry to help us dig for more knights when our hand is empty. Castle Lochtwain also provides more card draw.
The real power of the deck comes from multiple History of Benalia on the field. When you have Inspiring Captains and Icon of Ancestry on the field this deck goes absolutely bananas! Your opponent won't know what hit em. I've included a combo to do extra damage to the opponent as well. With a corpse knight and worthy knight on the field you will hit your opponent for one damage every time you cast a knight spell! The deck only has elven cards that are not knights. That's four mortify, four icon of ancestry, and three History of Benalia.
We're making use of the Tournament grounds for our Mardu colors but you can replace it with Raugrin Triome if you'd like for a cycling land for late game. The check lands could be replaced with the triome as well. Don't be afraid to shock your lands in if you need them to cast spells that turn. This deck can go from 0 to 60 really fast. Meaning you can go from no board state to swinging for lethal in a turn or two.
All in all this is a fun little deck inspired by a deck a friend of mine played in Standard since Dominara. I will be working on a sideboard to expand this deck to best of three in the near future. I just have to playtest it more and see what it is weak against and adjust accordingly. So be on the look out for the updated version on Aetherhub. Hope you guys enjoy it!
