So this is how I have been having fun with the Velomachus Lorehold deck which has been serving me well when I went back to Strixhaven College.

The deck is to some degree self milling with Thrill of Possibility & Seize the Spoils allowing you to draw cards while getting those creates into the graveyard that you want to get back. You do this with Unbreakable Bond giving your beasties Lifelink and Return Upon the Tide which has the advantage of Foretell.

In a perfect world you pull out the Velomachus on turn 4 or 5 and when he attacks you then get to select an instant or sorcery from the top 7 cards of your deck to play. So you bring back creatures which would be hard to cast otherwise Koma, Cosmos Serpent or Surtland Elementalist or if you need to get creatures into the graveyard then Burning-Rune Demon does the job.

Beside this Draconic Intervention exiles everything except your creatures and Baleful Mastery is a nice removal - again to exile.

It runs for me at about 60% when in Platinum and Diamond and drops to 55% in Mythic.
