Historic Brawl - Tatsunari - Evasive Enchanting

Aggro Midrange

This deck is focused around combat damage, enchantments and unblockable creatures. If you like drawing cards you'll enjoy this deck.
Tatsunari is also in a lower tier so you won't often be running into Rusko, Teferi, etc. like you would with Ivy, Gleeful Spellthiefimage.

The weakness is we're only running 36 lands so you want to make sure your opening hand has at least 2 on the draw and 3 on the play. It's a low mana curve, similar to Ivy decks, and there's plenty of ways to ensure you're making land drops.

Use the blue removal auras on any creature that could potentially block you so you can always attack your opponents or their planeswalkers. Prioritize or save removal for creatures with flying or reach.

There around about 10 ways to protect your attackers from removal so keep some mana open. Sometimes you'll want to delay playing threats until you can protect them. It's often better to focus on building up one ultra attacker so you just need to protect a single target.

Your frog is an excellent chump blocker because you can make a new one quite frequently. It also drains everytime you cast an enchantment and this can really add up over time. You'll be chipping away at your opponents life total so every bit of damage matters. It's rare you'll have some gigantic creature using auras except for Ancestral Maskimage and Demonic Embraceimage. An early Generous Visitorimage, Kami of Transienceimage or Eutropia the Twice-Favoredimage can also go off.

Looting effects can get rid of little creatures and excess lands. In the late game you're going to want auras and protection spells over pretty much anything else.

Considerations
Originally, I was running more countermagic but, as you can see from successful Ivy decks, protection spells are usually better. If you find you want more cheap counters I'd go with An Offer You Can't Refuseimage, Miscastimage, Decisive Denialimage, Spell Pierceimage, Negateimage, etc. I don't like Swan Songimage because it gives your opponent a flyer. This list is very tight and if you're going to make cuts I wouldn't recommend taking auras out. You'll find when you're playing this deck you're usually happy to draw auras. On the other hand, if you cut too many creatures you'll find you have a hand full of dead auras and protection.

It might seem like a good idea to run cards like Kaya's Ghostformimage, Demonic Vigorimage, and Malakir Rebirthimage but in practice your auras and +1/+1 counters will fall off and you'll just be left with some dinky creature.

Lifelink is another good thing to have because you'll find yourself in damage races when you opponent realizes they can't block you. I am very happy with Hateful Eidolonimage and Vault Skirgeimage. I wish there was a decent, cheap aura that gave lifelink plus some evasion or stat boosts, but your only real options are Eternal Thirstimage and Cartouche of Ambitionimage which aren't worth it. Black has a few other small creatures with lifelink I'd consider, such as Valentin, Dean of the Veinimage, both we want to prioritze creatures with flying/unblockable, hexproof/ward/indestructible, enchatment creatures, or creatures that have an ability when they deal damage.

Other creatures to consider:

Aphemia, the Cacophonyimage
Mischievous Geist // Catlike Curiosityimage
Gingerbruteimage - I have run this in the past
Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholarimage
Guild Thiefimage
Gutter Skulker // Gutter Shortcutimage
Hope of Ghirapurimage - I might find room for this
Hapatra, Vizier of Poisonsimage
Kami of Bamboo Grovesimage
Ledger Shredderimage
Maraleaf Pixieimage
Mercurial Spelldancerimage (not enough instants and sorceries to really benefit from copying)
Network Disruptorimage
Ornithopter of Paradiseimage
Sea-Dasher Octopusimage
Slippery Scoundrelimage
Spectral Sailorimage
Thousand-Faced Shadowimage
Valentin, Dean of the Veinimage
Yuan-Ti Malisonimage (I ran him at first and realized that dungeoning is underwhelming and don't like that he had to attack alone to be unblockable).

Other spells to consider (in addition to the counterspells I listed above)
Blossoming Defenseimage
Cartouche of Strengthimage
Dead Weightimage
Dive Downimage
Favored Enemyimage
Gaea's Giftimage
Grafted Identityimage (This is a high ceiling card but it's floor can be very low)
Curator's Wardimage
Wild Shapeimage
Metamorphic Alterationimage
Phyrexian Arenaimage
Ranger's Guileimage
Rousing Readimage
Rush of Vitalityimage
Search for Azcanta // Azcanta, the Sunken Ruinimage (Probably too grindy)
Sleep with the Fishesimage
Veil of Summerimage
You See a Guard Approachimage
Hydra's Growthimage
